Nizam Salleh, a lawyer with a heart for the community.

My name is Nizam Salleh, and I’m a lawyer.

One of the things I like doing is helping people. I do a lot of community work in Kota Belud – I would usually go over to hear from them personally and work together with the community to brainstorm ideas on what can be done to build the youths and the local community. Apart from that, I also enjoy futsal.

I see hair as a form of self-expression. I think hair is important, because it gives insight into who we are as a person, it completes our personal brand, and it influences how we want others to see us. If a person has a neat and well-groomed hairstyle, it tells you something about them. Likewise, if a person has a more artistic hairstyle, it also gives you a vibe that they’re probably more creative.

And so, I, too, express myself through hairstyles. In fact, I experimented a lot with my hair when I was younger. I permed and dyed my hair a lot back then. And I think it has triggered my hair loss – there are specific areas of my scalp that lose more hair, and they’re all parts where the perms were.

Additionally, as a lawyer, I generally deal with quite a high level of stress. Legal practice can be demanding, with long hours and increased pressure due to competition, especially in a smaller town like Sabah. And the stress from my work can take a toll on my scalp and hair health.

Consequently, I started losing hair. Initially, I didn’t mind it too much. However, others began commenting on my hair loss more frequently, particularly when I perspired, as it became more visible. It started to bother me a little, and it also seemed to influence how others perceived me, potentially impacting my work. So, I felt compelled to really address the problem and invest in getting my hair loss treated.

Nizam experienced hair loss due to a high level of stress from his legal practice and hairstyle experimentations during his younger days.

Besides that, my hair loss also made me a little self-conscious. So, I saw my hair loss treatment as an investment for myself in the long-term. Because if I had this problem in my 50s or 60s, I wouldn’t think of dealing with it as much, but I’m at an age where I still have many more years ahead. I questioned whether I could or wanted to live with this issue for many more years. If my answer was no, then I needed to do something about it. I also believed that if options were available, then I should explore it. This motivated me to seek a solution.

Before Ooosh!™, I’ve tried resolving my hair loss in various ways. I’ve tried researching online, reading product labels, trying out things I bought online, home remedies, going to different salons, trying out different treatments, but they have been unsuccessful and did not get me the results I wanted.

I’ve heard that hair growth treatments often involve trial and error. And I also believe that there must be a solution. Drawing inspiration from Kpop idols and artists who still have good and healthy hair despite their frequent styling experiments led me to believe that there must be a solution somewhere, there must be some technology or treatment out there that actually works which I’ve yet to discover. And I took comfort in that.

Then, I met Abel (Director of Ooosh!™ Malaysia), a friend I got to know from futsal, and he told me about Ooosh!™ Hair Regrowth Solution. I considered the pros and cons. It was more expensive, but I also felt like if I wanted more results, I probably also had to pay more – since I’ve tried all the other methods but the results were not satisfactory.

Through futsal, Nizam met Abel, who told him about Ooosh!™ Hair Regrowth Solution.

I initially had some hesitancy to try Ooosh!™. After the consultation, the price seemed quite significant. Relying solely on case studies and pictures didn't feel entirely convincing to me, as every individual's hair and scalp are different. Additionally, similar products often employ similar marketing strategies, showcasing before and after transformations. So, I did have some reservations.

My decision to finally try Ooosh!™ was prompted by my wife, who also struggles with hair loss. We've both experimented with various treatments, but she reached a point where she lost confidence due to constant disappointment and a lack of success. But I’m quite the opposite. I remained optimistic and determined to find a solution. I wanted both of us to try Ooosh!™, but considering the cost, it can be a little expensive. So, I decided to try it myself first.

"I remained optimistic and determined to find a solution."

I viewed the Ooosh!™ Hair Regrowth Solution not in terms of cost but in terms of results. Signing up for the 6-month package made sense to me because, when comparing it to what I spent monthly on other solutions for my hair loss, it amounted to about the same. After witnessing its effectiveness, my wife was reassured and impressed. I’m also really happy with the results! And the results are evident not just to me and my wife; but even our friends and family. This gave us comfort to think of how there’s no need to go somewhere really far to get a hair growth solution that works – it’s right here in Kota Kinabalu, where we are!

Nizam's hair growth after undergoing treatment at Ooosh!™ became evident not only to himself, but even to his friends and family.

After Ooosh!™, my approach to hair maintenance has evolved. Previously, I experimented a lot on what works and what doesn’t, often swayed by factors like scent or brand. However, Ooosh!™ has made me pay more attention to the products I use, foods I eat, and how much rest I get. I’ve also learnt that it’s so important to keep my mental health in check, as stress can contribute to hair loss. Even with thinning hair, maintaining a calm and positive mindset can make a difference in preserving it. I’ve learnt to be mindful of my daily stressors to prevent hair loss. I’ve also learnt to manage my stress effectively by sweating it out; and if I don’t get the time to exercise, I do chores to clear my mind. For instance, I often find solace in cleaning – after a while, I forget what was bothering me in the first place!

I’ve also gotten more refined in how I treat myself. I’ve always been someone who’s mindful of taking care of my body and my mind. But with hair, I wasn’t really sure about it and kind of took it for granted. But now, I’m more conscious of my hair care routine. I now have a standardized routine that I can focus on which helps me stay on track – I come for treatment sessions, I follow the simple routines by Ooosh!™, and that’s it! Instead of constantly trying new methods, I now focus on what works best for me. And what works may seem quite minimal, but I mean, as long as it works! And because this routine is easy, I find it easy to keep at it and maintain it. I prefer easy and straightforward routines; routines that are too complicated make me not even want to do them!

Here’s my encouragement to those who are experiencing hair loss:

Have faith and decide for yourself how valuable your hair is to you as part of your being, whether it’s now or the foreseeable future. If you feel like it’s important, and you want it to be a part of you in the future, you’ll have to invest your time and resources to cultivate it. It really depends on how you see yourself. Ultimately, the value you place on your hair will justify the effort and expenditure. For those facing hair loss, start as early as possible to address the problem, because it is a problem that can be treated and handled – provided you make the effort as early as possible.

"Decide for yourself how valuable your hair is to you as part of your being."

My name is Nizam; and I’m passionate about inspiring others to do better.

And this is my Ooosh!™ Story.
